Mwai’s journey into music began at the age of six when he first discovered his passion for rhythm and words. From childhood, he was drawn to the art of expression, and by his teenage years, he was freestyle rapping, experimenting with flows and uncovering his voice. However, it wasn’t until February 2024 that Mwai took a bold step forward in his musical career, releasing his debut tracks, "Big Issue" and "Feen," while also attending Indiana University. These songs showcased his potential as a young artist, blending raw emotion with catchy hooks and insightful bars that resonated with listeners.
